Has anyone had any experience/luck replacing the tabs that hold the trim rings on the wheel?
Any and all input appreciated.
I've got some pretty nice rings but one has one broken off tab and another has two broken tabs, it would be a shame not to be able to use these.................

Re: 1968 A/C compressor
As stated that's the way the system was designed . If you want you can just wire a toogle switch to the power side and turn it off that way ....................OR....................... Take the A/C relay off , and take the cover off. There's an internal jumper wire inside. Cut it. Put the cover ba...

Re: Is this listing suitible for use on a '66 Factory Q-Jet?
The parts shown in that link are Q Jet parts probably made by Holley. BUT you're getting very generic just ordering a Q Jet kit by year and motor. Look for a round orange tinted tag on the left side of your carb (if it's original), a great many '66 Toro Q Jets were replaced due to problems (like fir...

Re: 425 crankshaft
Not rare at all; all '65 - '67 425's and 400's had them as well as some 455's (but it's harder to find a 455).

Re: toronado suppliers
Keep a close eye on that chrome fuel pump; they're notorious for cracking.
I think the chroming process makes them brittle.

Re: Toronado Resto-Mod?????
Well I'll be doing some resto-mod stuff on my '66 soon but it will all be in the interest of better all around perfromance. NOT any body mods; if you spend some time looking around on the net you'll find quite a few "customized" Toronados but at least in my opinion NOT A ONE looks better t...

Re: 1968 Toronado
Looks nice Dave!
Are the Western wheels the same backspace, etc. as factory wheels?
I know they where made for Toros and Eldos but that's about all I know about them.
Also are they the same width?
Thanks,
Mike
