Since I don't have my car anymore I can't look at the plug. When replacing, however, you can use expandable rubber plugs instead of brass or steel...

With engine out a lot of things can be done that are much easier than when the engine is in the car.

Clean and paint the engine and even the engine bay if necessary. If the timing chain is still the nylon tooth style, replace it with the all steel one.
