I'm thinking of doing the Disc conversion on my '66 a few ??
My main concern (believe it or not) is the WHEELS! I have the cool original chrome rims on my car and like the Cord look they provide. My first question is: What is the EXACT difference between my drum type rim and a disc rim? And from What year or years can I get a 2 rims that would look like the o...

Re: In deep with my 68 ATT: TWILIGHT
DO NOT use braided steel hose or line for the brake lines. The brake lines must be DOT approved brake line. Which is a double wall type of metal line. It dosnt seem like it, but a LOT of pressure builds up in these lines and an incorrect type line or hose could burst which could equal something TRAG...

Re: Frame repair
Are you talking about where the forward part of the rear leaf springs bolt onto the "frame" These Toros seem to love to rust here. I would love to see a picture of what you did as mine as some rust there. Not horrible, but it needs to be fixed. Also what guage and type of steel did you use...

Re: More '67 Turn Signal Switch Problems
I have a 66 with cornering lamps and tilt. I replaced the switch about 10 years ago, found an NOS one. I recall that the swich was some type of stationary switch mounted piggy back on the column and the turns signal lever itself activated a cable that attached to the switch. Maybe they changed the d...

Your axle shows the outter boot i am talking about. Its the replacement type with ONE fold in it. I've found that this pulls off or tears pre-maturely. The inner boot is the original, but NOT the outter. Here is a pic for comparison of what an original OUTTER boot looks like. Note one axle looks lik...

Re: Can't believe my cv boot posts has 35 views & not ONE re
I am 200% sure I have two original sets of 66 Toronado axle shafts. The inner and outter boots most definitely ORGINALLY had boots with multiple folds in them. I think around 4-6. Definitely more then 1-2. I could email you a picture of an original 66 half shaft. I bought them YEARS ago from a Toron...

Re: 455 won't start / 1970 Toro
luckily old cars are easiler to diagnose then the complicated newer EFI cars. Start with basics. Air, Fuel, and Gas. I always say "as long as we're breathing we know the engines got air" LOL That said, check the following: Make sure your distributor hasn't rotated due to a loose hold dont ...
