Re: 66Toro Name That Part.

I had the front end off and disassembled so the eyebrows were off the car. I don’t think you can get them off without removing the headlight assembly. I could be wrong. While they were off I polished and masked off the chrome. Then painted the inner part satin black. Then masked off that and painted...

Re: 66Toro Name That Part.

I finally got a day to work on the Toro. The bumper doesn’t have to be off but I haven’t put mine back on yet so it was easier without it. You do have to remove the grill and the chrome trim vee on the nose panel to gain access to the holes. I installed mine with 1/8 pop rivets with a backing washer.

66Toro Name That Part.

I’ve disassembled this entire car. After cleaning, refurbishing, painting and restoring every part and reassembling everything I almost have it done. It’s taken about 4 years. I have two plastic pieces that I’ve forgotten where they go. They are obviously a left and right and mounted with rivets. An...

Re: 66 Parts For Sale

The intake is not a problem. The oil pan is another story tho. I have one but would have to pull the engine to get it off. The labor would make it expensive. Rock Auto has a new one listed for $142.79.

Intake would be $275 plus shipping. Thanks.

Re: 66 sway bar trouble

Thanks Otto. Yea, the Moog part is like the ones I have. So far the GM number is turning up the same thing. This is crazy. I can’t be the only person that’s run into this. I’ve checked Rock Auto bushings for 66 Cadillac, Pontiac, Buick, Chevrolet etc. with no luck there either. Same with 67 Toro. I ...

66 sway bar trouble

Has anyone replaced the sway bar bushings in their 66? I’m having trouble finding the right bushings. I ordered a set along with the link kit from Rock Auto. They sent the wrong parts. The link kit had the long 7” bolts with long spacers. No problem, I got shorter bolts and cut the spacers down to s...

Re: 67 Toranado Rescue

Also check the lower body behind the rocker trim. They all rust out behind there. A decent paint job is gonna eat up most if not all of your $10k. Interior work is expensive too. I paid $3000 to have my seats done. Hows the carpet and headliner? And chrome? Then you’ve got brakes, tires, exhaust.......
