Re: BUMPER FILLERS

What gives? Their website and that link says 1979-1985 Toronado. Did he stop making them or something?

Re: BUMPER FILLERS

You're in luck Domoni.

A complete set for the front for $149.00 Not bad. They have the rear, too.

A friend of mine used this company for two Eldorado's he owns and is extremely happy with them.

Re: Toronado Holy Grail

Unless you live in Arizona, those cars outside aren't going to remain in very good shape for long. Are they at least covered with breathable fabric covers like Evolution III or Noah from Covercraft? It they're covered with tarps, that's the kiss of death.

Is she interested in selling them?

Re: posi-traction

Gecko, I don't disagree with you about modern cars. Modern cars are reliable, efficient, safe, fully optioned, and mechanically superior to those of the past. Unfortunately very, very few have styling that grabs my interest. Even the ones that do catch my attention are only marginally more exciting ...

Re: posi-traction

Here's another pic of my first car and my two current cars. Don't know why they posted in the reverse order that I added them. I can't find any of my '66 Mustang or the '56 F100.

Re: posi-traction

In case you're wondering, none of my old cars were ever "new" when I bought them. I've just never been attracted to modern vehicles. Even those that were new when I was a kid bored me to tears. I wanted to buy a '36 Ford in high school but my dad said no way - skinny tires, mechanical brak...

Re: posi-traction

Personally I think my first gen Toro ('66) handles extremely well. Unlike most people - and probably most of you - I only drive old cars. I don't even own a modern vehicle. I say this because most people, even those who collect and drive old cars, drive modern vehicles as their default vehicle. Whet...

Re: 1969 questions

Hahaha! See, I avoid the handling dilemma by driving within the limits of the stock configuration. I haul ass on the freeway but I'm not interested in doing a slalom on winding secondary roads. Driving a '56 Coupe DeVille for 14 years as my only car really changed my driving habits. I no longer feel...

Re: octane for 425

I think the key here is "normal driving". The wear on the exhaust valves is so small as to be insignificant with normal driving habits. Also, when it eventually becomes time to do a valve job, by all means have hardened seats installed in the heads. There's no need to take apart a perfectl...

Re: 69 toronado parts wanted

Do you have the original steering wheel? If so, there are several fine companies that will restore it for you, even if large chunks of plastic are missing. Is your tank rusted through? If not, or if it only has minor pin holes you can use a gas tank coating chemical to seal it up inside. These are u...
