Re: Wondering what they are used for?
I just saw your photo. I think we're now talking about the same part. It's the upper portion of the control arm mount. Nothing on the Toro is attached there.

Re: Wondering what they are used for?
All I see in that area is the mount for the control arm.
Here's the area of the frame next to the oil filter. The only two holes on a rectangular, box shaped thing I see are on the control arm mount.
Does anything in these pictures look like what you're talking about?

Re: Wondering what they are used for?
The Toronado had torsion bars so the holes you're describing sound like that's what they're for. I'll see if I can get a photo of mine on a ramp.

Same here. Who knows? Send him an email and/or call him. I hope he's still in business. He comes well recommended.

Re: I could use some help to ID Engine.
Tony,
The first one I posted, Dave's Small Body HEI, converts your points type dizzy into a GM HEI dizzy. That way, it looks stock (not that it matters in your case) and installs and fits correctly because it's the correct dizzy for the engine.

Interesting. Does the RV utilize the Toronado's front wheel drive transmission at the rear?

I hit that (!) all the time. There are two posters whose accounts should be deleted.
One of them always lifts a sentence or phrase from a previous post. I have no idea what it's supposed to accomplish.
