Re: Hello from Germany!

Are the European type sealed beam? Maybe the difference is the light pattern? I replaced all 4 of my '66 Toro's lights with brand new Wagner halogen lights. They are a vast improvement over the original T3 style that were installed when I bought the car. I have Sylvania halogen lights on my '79 Ford...

Re: Lower Control Arm for 1988 Olds Trofeo

Here are two options: This website searches hundreds of salvage yards for the part you need. If you don't get a result, do a search for the vehicle or vehicle range only then call the yard directly for the specific part. http://car-part.com/ Just qave it a go. Looks like it's the same part on Buick ...

Re: Hello from Germany!

Looking at it the first time I figured a spring was supposed to be in there. I've never had one apart so I didn't know for sure. Good work Jelonik.

Re: Headlight actuators 1966

If the guy Doc is talking about is Ken something or other, he passed away a couple years ago. Call Atwater Kent and see if they can help you. They rebuild and manufacture lots of antique car parts including vacuum canisters, etc. They seem open to taking on jobs that aren't specifically listed in th...

Re: Headlight actuators 1966

This comes up every now and then but I've never seen a recommendation for a professional rebuilding service. Search this site for threads by DIYers and one where electric actuators were found that were essentially a bolt it R&R.

Olds manual says that periodic or seasonal changes of differential fluid are not recommended.

Unless you believe yours to be contaminated or something, I'd leave it alone. Use a suction pump to remove it if you have to.

Re: Hello from Germany!

Clean all the connections with a wire brush or emery cloth even if they look good. You're going to have to trace the wires and look for a cracked or broken wire. Maybe a bad ground wire. Heater core is replaced from engine side. If your car has air conditioning (which it does), the manual says the h...
