Stick with what the car came with. You can never go wrong then. Copper has better heat transfer, put platinum lasts longer. My 78 Eldorado came with copper, my 97 Caddy came with platinum. 67 Toronado Cancel Cam and Gas Pedal
Looking for a cancel cam for a 67 Toronado. It’s the round cam under the steering wheel. Non til / non travel steering column. I sort of cracked it when I put the steering wheel back. I had a similar problem once with a 76 Seville. The actuators in the dash work by vacuum. Took me a long, long time to figure everything out. You might have to check the actuators, and also check if you do get vacuum to them.

For around $300 you can probably replace the whole brake system. New or rebuilt caliper and booster. Shoes, springs, cylinders on all wheels. Might still have drums, but will work much better.
