GM torsion bar tool for '66 Toronado, and free full set of '66 rims in N. Minnesota
Hello there, I sold my '66 Toronado a few years back, and have been reorganizing my garage lately when I stumbled across a few remnants... I have a full set of 5 original steel rims, (complete with horrible ruined tires that have to go with them :P) which I replaced with chrome wheels on my car when...

66 Toronado Deluxe for sale in Northern MN $5,000
Well, I've decided to sell my '66 Toronado Deluxe. I just don't get the enjoyment out of it that I used to, and am focusing on other things in my life. The vehicle is partly restored, and 100% driveable. It runs and drives like a dream. It was driven every sunny day last summer, and it will be again...

Re: Repairing metal under windshield on '66
I've never seen that lip either, actually o.o When I did my repair, as documented at the start of this thread, I kind of just attached it at the top, and at the bottom. Had no idea there was supposed to be a ledge... The guy who put in my window had these little bumpers he set in place to keep it he...

Re: WTB: The Infamous Engine, 5.7L Diesel
Blah, I've been focused on other things, and never got back here... I am still looking for the motor, and definitely want a DX block, but I'm up in Minnesota, and I can't even begin to conceive the shipping cost for a diesel engine from California to MN :P Thanks for the reply though, and welcome (b...

Re: About Toro Wheels One More Time....................
Has anyone ever actually checked on this; fairly late model Jeep Grand Cherokee wheels have the correct backspace and they are 5 on 5 like we need for our Toros, I question the center hole diameter???? If anyone has ever checked this out or knows more about it please post your info! TIA Mike TOA # ...

WTB: The Infamous Engine, 5.7L Diesel
Hello! I'm looking for an old 5.7L Diesel engine :D These were found in Toronado's for a time, and I'm looking for the 81-85 "DX" block version. Preferably a known running engine, but I'll take whatever I can get. If it happens to come with a complete car, so much the better! As I'll need ...

Re: Vacuum diagnosis: Am I missing something?
Thanks for the input, but... I'm not a fan of spraying stuff around my engine bay to look for a leak :P And there are waaay too many hoses and connections and components that aren't under the hood. I do have the Comfortron, and power trunk release, so I've got a few extra miles of tube than a base s...

Vacuum diagnosis: Am I missing something?
Okay... So, I'm pretty sure I've got a vacuum leak on my '66. My fan runs constantly, except when I accelerate hard, the fan turns off, then as soon as I hit cruising speed, it turns back on... Okay... Anyway, that's not the anomaly. As I understand, the way this is supposed to work is, you start wi...
