i'm also interested in those shafts. how important would be the damper on the passenger side axle shaft? the units from ebay dont seem to have them :?:

hard to explain. the main difference will be firewall and the frame crossmember where the transmission mounts. on a 1971 the downpipe goes between the firewall and the crossmember, while on a 1970 theres not enough clearance so the downpipe needs to have steeper angled curves like two 90° turns and ...

as for the RobbMC starter..they took it down due to not enough orders.

they sold me the CAD file for the adapter plate so i could buy the olds RWD mini starter from RobbMC and craft the adapter on my own.

might be cheaper to go with one of the starters bruce recommends.

yes..but i would like to hear if it is ok to replace a full rubber bushing with one of the sleeved type.

steeleruber told me that their bushing is the correct replacement.

the steelrubber part is around 1-3/8" in diameter - factory is 1-5/8" :!:

nah..mines also just full rubber without any sleeve. i try to get an answer from moog ..they also claim to have the correct replacement.
