i'm totally interested too. i talked to a guy who also builds LSD's for TH425 (for a lot less $$ than applied-GMC) and he's not concerned about torque steer etc. not sure about the gear ratios though...may break the tires loose easier if you can't install a wider set of front tires. i plan to get a ...

...looks like you have some sort of compression so thats not your problem for now you need a timing light..connect it to the battery and the #1 cylinder spark plug wire. You should disconnect your fuel feed to check initial timing If everything is set, crank the engine and point your timing light on...

at least do it with wide open throttle..

what about the timing? did you checked that? dwell angle at 30°?

procedure is:

1.-set dwell
2.-set timing
3.-set carb

you can tell by the movement of your 0° mark on the balancer that your timing chain /gear is junk...

compression tests are usually done with engine at operating temp and wide open throttle !!

looks like i have to get a set of correct wheels to make those hubcaps fit properly. at least those wheels also came with the eldorados right?

hey otto, why are there two different styles? IIRC its about disc and drum break right? on my 1970 toronado with front disc and rear drum brakes i have set of those 10-hole-wheels on it...but its always a PITA to mount the 1970 full-cover hubcaps and theres a really big gap between the hubcap and th...
