Re: Windshield Wiper Blades, Now Headlight Actuators
Tuco, I followed your advice (and that of a close friend) and used plumbers silicone grease that I found at Home Depot. Seems to have the right consistency, won't absorb water, and shouldn't become too stiff in the winter. I put a light coating of grease on the inside of the chamber and the rubber, ...

Re: Windshield Wiper Blades
Otto, I think the attachment method is correct on the third item, but it is missing a piece that goes between the wiper arm and the wiper blade. The Trico 33-183 Classic has a gray plastic piece, but the originals should have been stainless steel. My drivers side headlight actuator was not working, ...

Re: Windshield Wiper Blades
Thanks for the information. When I looked up the part by application it gave me 18", but those looked to have too much overlap. I'll get a pair ordered.

Windshield Wiper Blades
I need to install new wiper blades on my '66 Toro. The one existing arm measures 16", but my parts car has 18" aftermarket ones. What is the correct length and where can I purchase refills?

Re: 1969 Fuel Tank
You should not combine vinegar (an acid) with baking soda (which is a base) as they will neutralize each other.

Re: 1969 Fuel Tank
FWIW, I recently went through the same issues with the fuel tank on my '66 Toronado. I ended up sandblasting the exterior of my tank. This created some pits in the top of the tank, from which oozed gasoline. My local radiator shop charged $200 to clean the interior of the tank with muratic acid (ava...

Bill, I don't mean to pry, but would you tell me what the price was to rechrome your bumpers?

Re: Need Bracket for Jack Stowage
I noticed in the TOA magazine that John has 6 Toronados. Do you know if these are complete cars or does that number include his parts cars?

Re: Spare Tire Won't Fit
I didn't try it since I had only one of the larger size tires. The other 4 tires are 235-75-15. The spare tire costs me only $30 whereas the others were $100 each.

Need Bracket for Jack Stowage
I'm missing the bracket that clamps the jack down to the trunk. I have the portion that connects to the trunk, but not the top portion. Anyone have a spare?
