Re: Comfortron replacement

TVV is the thermostatic vacuum valve referred to above. It's on the water valve coming up off intake on top behind air cleaner. Another one is on the instrument control panel.

Re: Comfortron replacement

Don't give up on it yet. Try to do some troubleshooting per the manual. I still can't claim to know if mine is working correctly yet since I have to take it to the shop to get the oil in the rebuilt compressor in place and add the R134a for the AC part. I went through mine completely though. PowerSe...

Re: First Generation Toronado Advice

I think this 69 is probably a bargain. I'm not sure that everything is original though. Some the of engine parts don't seem to be painted the right color. I has some reasonably nice options on it. The 66-67 cars are wonderful too, but the headlamps and brakes in stock form are more problematic on th...

Re: 66 toro interior question

As Otto suggested, you car originally had the green vinyl with cloth inserts on the seats. The fronts were worn out and replaced. Not sure what the D means after the trim code. A is with headrests and E is without headrests.

Re: Transducer for Comfortron Part I

What are you looking for? Mikel is working from the transducer I sent him. I hope he might have some luck with it. He's trying to make a new diaphram. The key part.

Re: 1st gen doors

The big heavy doors on the 66 got a lot of complaints about how difficult to open and close them, so olds added spring assist. Main point is to keep doors lubricated properly.

Re: 1st gen doors

As far as I'm aware, all Gen 1 doors are the same, except 66 doors had no spring assist. Interior panels different.

Re: 67 Steering wheel resto

I think this is too big a job for me. It is not just the rim, but the center hub body as well. Remember, 67 steering wheels for most Toros that year are different than the 66.

67 Steering wheel resto

Help, I'm cracked and don't look new anymore! Could be me, but it's actually the steering wheel on the Toro I'm talking about. I know someone has posted a recommendation on someone to repair the Toro steering wheels. Could you let me know who that is again? I can't seem to find it anywhere on this f...
