Re: 1966 Toronado Deluxe - Autumn Bronze

That’s a beautiful car. You do nice work.

I’m curious tho, why the chrome air cleaner and valve covers? The originals look so good with fresh paint.

Other than that she’s a beauty. Hope you get your price.

Re: 66 Parts For Sale

I do have one. I don’t know if it’s any good tho. I will send it to you if you want. No charge just need your address.

I recently restored a 66 Buick Skylark. It has the identical switch. Customer bought a new one on eBay for $65 plus shipping. Something to consider.

Re: 1966/67 Carpet driver feet pan

I’m sorry but I can’t answer that. Mine was shrunken away so bad it was just lying on top of the pan.

I believe the original has rubber tabs that fit into the pan. I would try gently pulling on one corner to see if it will come up without tearing.

Re: 1966/67 Carpet driver feet pan

There is a flange around the perimeter under the rubber where it is screwed down. The rubber goes down last. Unfortunately there is no way to remove the pan without first removing the rubber mat.

Re: Distributor Cap/Spark Plug Wires

Also check the front and back of the intake manifold. If it’s never been off the seals could be crusty and leaking.

Re: Distributor Cap/Spark Plug Wires

May be a vacuum leak. There are several vacuum ports on the intake manifold. Both in front and behind the carb. Locate all of them and cap them off temporarily. See how it runs then. That way you can start to isolate where it is. There are lots of vacuum lines on there. I had a hard time finding one...

Re: door panel repair

I know when I did mine the door panels were a mess. Lots of time spent rebuilding them.

You did a nice job. The finished product looks factory new. Congrats!

Re: '66-'69 right side remote mirror

Right side mirrors were not standard for 66. The driver side was remote. It was chrome. I purchased a right side mirror for my car but decided not to install it. In order for it to be functional for the driver it would be too far back on the door. Also the ones available don’t match the original.. I...
