Re: New guy looking at 1966

Hi ! Yes, there is three, one is the input, the second, the output for the vacuum actuators and the third is for the control assembly that lock the shaft of the actuators in place and are released to let them going down. I hope my explanation is clear ;) Check the pictures below. I'm not sure you ca...

Re: Brand new Olds Toronado owner

Hi ! It's been a long time, I'm still working on my car and things are starting to look better. I'm waiting for a last package and I should be able to see if the engine is running fine :) I still have to put the distributor back, connect the fuel line to the carburetor, put the power steering pump b...

Re: Brand new Olds Toronado owner

Re: Brand new Olds Toronado owner

Hey, Just a quick follow up :) As you told me, I checked and replaced the timing chain and the whole set. It was not that bad but it's still good to do. Not that easy when you don't want to remove the engine from the car, especially because of the front mount of the engine but I was able to lift the...

Re: Brand new Olds Toronado owner

Thanks for the tips ! Tires and brakes cylinders were changed by the previous owner. But he did not replaced the master cylinder... Why do you recommend not to change the head gaskets ? I'm about to do it because I have to replace all the valves sterm seals that are in pieces... I'll check the timin...

Re: Brand new Olds Toronado owner

I don't think mine was abused, it was just really barely used, only have 23000 miles that were done in 4 years and then nothing... so rubbers, gaskets, a lot of things have to be replaced because of this. I'm still waiting for the carburetor so I have time to check completely the engine. I'm just be...

Re: Brand new Olds Toronado owner

Hi everybody ! First thank you for the replies, I should post here more often but I'm always busy :) Tuco, I sent you a private message, I don't know if you got it. Otto, I will see if I can fix mine, may not be in a so bad shape after all. So the story continues, I'm still waiting for the carbureto...
