Re: Torsion bars
I have multiple sets but they're all kind of the same--nice where the leaks are and rusty toward the rear. I think I might stick to beads or walnuts because shot peening might change the rate of the bars--shot peening is a pretty harsh process. Thanks for checking. I found a fine match for the torsi...

Photographs
I had brought this up on "The List" a number of years ago and I was today reminded again of a couple of photographs I have mounted on thick backings. The photos are from the 1966 Toronado sales brochure and are labeled on the back with the name of the outfit that put the brochures together...

Re: Torsion bars
Well I looked at some of the cached forum boards and all I see is a whole lot of talk and no answers--plus they MAKE repos--lucky for them! I know a Mopar guy and I'll check with him tomorrow.
I can't imaging that bead blasting would be an issue but I just want to be sure. CB

Torsion bars
I wanted to get some opinions on bead blasting my torsion bars. All those I have are in decent shape but toward the rear of them the paint is missing and minor surface rust is evident. I don't think sand blasting is wise but how about glass beads and a repaint?

Re: Torsion Bar Support Mounts
Not ever seen them except as salvage from decent cars. You can take the rubber parts (decent and undeformed) and gently bead blast them and then soak them in silicone. They come out good enough for re-use. The steel parts are less likely to be found intact but can be obtained from decent desert cars...

WANTED
Cupped (countersunk) washers that go on the very rearmost body mounts. These can be seen if one looks under the back of the car where the frame terminates and connects to the body. I need a few sets of dry climate unpitted washers. I believe these are all similar for the first generation Toronados b...

Re: Frame repair
Sent some pics, they may not be the best as the lighting was not optimal and the camera seems to be working like shyt. You'll get the idea though. As I stated, I ground the inside welds smooth but let the exposed outside beads to mimic the original factory stick welds. Let me know if you need someth...
