Re: trim on top edge of door on 66
With the glass down you will find screws on the front and rear of this molding. Remove them and then gently pry the molding up from the outside to release the clips. You may have to remove the interior door panel to remove the screws, the interior door panel may get in the way of getting a straight ...

Re: Headlight actuators 1966
Sorry, no pictures. I get asked that a lot. I'm not a smartphone guy so I would have to use my camera. Cell phones don't work very well where I live.

Re: Headlight actuators 1966
Update. I took my canisters apart by grinding off the original rivets. You have to be a little carefull, the spring inside has some strength to it. My piston looked good, but was hard and didn't make a good seal. I soaked it in brake fluid for a week, It got alot better but the seal wasn't good enou...

Headlight actuators 1966
Anyone know who rebuilds these? I would like to keep the stock system if I can. I took one of my actuators apart and everything looks OK except the rubber piston has shrunk and hardened. I might try some tricks myself, but I would rather have them rebuilt and be done with it.Thanks, Mark

Re: fuel pump, 1966
Not sure about the Carter site, but get a pump that will let you use the metal fuel line from the carb to the pump. Might have to use the old brass tee and plug where the pulse reducer was. Important to have a metal line from the pump to the carb.

Re: fuel pump, 1966
The thing hanging on the pump is the "pulse reducer" I think they were only used in 1966 and probably not necessary. Most of the 66's I have seen don't have them anymore.

66 Toro dash turn signal light
I had to remove my instrument cluster to fix some wiring issues. As long as I have it out I am going to replace all the bulbs and give it a good clean up. The green lens or "filter" needs to be replaced for the turn signal indicators. Any tips on where to get something that will work? Than...

1966 fuel tank
Does anyone know the inner workings of a 1966 toro fuel tank? I have a nice clean tank that I am going to install. I checked to fuel feed and return lines on the right front of the tank and they are open and seem fine. There are two breather lines on the rear of the tank . I cannot get any air throu...
