Re: Where can you distinguish date codes on Toronado Engines
The color of the engine block may help you narrow it down.
1966 and 1967 Toronado units were light blue
1968 Toronado's were painted metallic blue
1970-1976 versions were metallic blue at first, then nonmetallic blue.
If it's red, then it's not an original Toronado Engine.

Re: 1966 Toronado Parts Car
I need a front Splash Guard? for my '66. Not sure if that's the right name for it. It's a strip of black plastic that mounts under the lower radiator core support. If you have one that is in good shape, I'd be interested.

Re: rear disc brake conversion 68
I can't answer specifically to the leaf vs coil spring issue; I am just starting to look into this myself as I work towards my own 4 wheel disc conversion. Here are some articles that may help The hydro-motive site is long gone, but has been archived here: https://web.archive.org/web/20080807132725/...

Re: Easy question-- engine serial number
Depends on the year. I found some info that might help, with the source link below. 1964-67 V-8 Engine: Code is stamped on the right cylinder head. Unfortunately, this only applies to what was originally the driver's side head. This code consists of a prefix letter (330 V-8=T (1964-65) or W (1966-67...

That's a beautiful steering wheel in your Cadillac. It reminds me of the wheel on a yacht. Very classy design

Re: Will a 1970's olds 442 sport steering wheel fit my '66 T
You guys are right, I'm definitely keeping my original steering wheel. Thanks NRGF, his prices are much better than anyone else I've seen so far (£99.00). Talked to some guy from Dallas Custom Steering wheel and they wanted ~$380. That's crazy. I might track down a saddle maker and see if I can get ...

Re: Will a 1970's olds 442 sport steering wheel fit my '66 T
I agree Otto, I do like the way my original steering wheel looks, it's just a bit too thin and smooth. I'd even say it's slippery. I'd like to have a thicker wheel that still looks good and haven't found any thing except tips one. Anyone know where I can get a wrap like made? this looks pretty bad a...
