Will a 1970's olds 442 sport steering wheel fit my '66 Toro?
I'm thinking about swapping the steering wheel from my '66 Toro and replacing it with a early 70's Rally Sport steering wheel from an olds 442/Cutlass F85. I'm hoping it will be a straight swap, anyone know if this will work?

Re: water pump for '66 with A/C
Not sure if it's going to help, but I could only find one picture that showed my water pump without it being obscured by the alternator or power steering res. I can go take some better pics tonight

Re: water pump for '66 with A/C
You may have a water pump that was intended for an engine without A/C. http://www.oldsmobility.com/old/67-Olds-FAQs/engine.htm#water%20pumps Are there any differences between Oldsmobile V8 water pumps? There are actually three different Olds water pump lengths. The measurement you care about is from...

Re: Input Requested: '67 Resto Personalization
Like you, I am also customizing my 66 Toro while maintaining all of the classic Toronado elements. I've posted a project of mine which you may find interesting. A dual snorkel cold air intake in place of the original air cleaner. http://www.toronado.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1484 I've done s...

Dual Snorkel Cold Air Intake
I've been out of the loop for a while, but I'm back and wanted to share a couple of pics from my current project; a dual snorkel cold air intake for my 1966 Toronado. Apologies in advance for the crappy cell phone pics... better ones will follow as time permits. I had the carb replaced with an MSD A...

Re: fender emblem removal
I don't think you'll be able to remove the scripts without removing the fender. Here are a couple of links that may help. 1966 Fisher Body Service Manual (see section 12, Exterior Moldings) http://www.oldcarmanualproject.com/manuals/FisherBody/1966/index.html 1966 Oldsmobile Chassis Service Manual (...

Re: Finally up and running again!
Wow! That looks awesome! Great job on the engine.
Thanks for your helping me get my MSD Atomic dialed in.
I was hoping to get mine completed this year, but it looks like I need a valve job and possibly new rings

Re: Prototype designs for instrument clusters on my '66
The drawing is from a photograph of the dash, it may not necessarily reflect the actual drivers POV. My objective was to create a scalable and reasonably accurate Toro dash so I can get an idea of how I want the gauges to be placed and what positions they should be in. The size of the gauges in the ...

Prototype designs for instrument clusters on my '66
I still have some work to do on my car, but it's far enough along that I am starting to think about future projects. One of these ideas is upgrading the dashboard gauges with a modern instrument cluster that will be useful if I decide I want to take it to the track and do some rally racing or someth...
