A well maintained and tuned 455 will last a very long time.

These old engines didn't have the benefit of a self-adjusting EFI system, positive crankcase ventilation or modern oils.

When I was at the vintage auto races at Road Atlanta, some guy took a bunch of photos of me driving around and put them on a website. A friend of mine just came across them by accident. TH425 is the front wheel drive version of the TH400. So TH425.

The turn signal switch in a '66 is external, driven by a cable. It's very likely that the switch has been knocked out of alignment.
