Re: Final drive question
Mikel, Check with the GMC Motor Home guys. They seem to play with final drive/pulley ratios a LOT to get more than 8 mpg out of those monsters! http://www.gmcmotorhome.com/statistics/ Try and get a hold of Patrick Flowers and mention that Sparky referred you. I;m sure he can help you or direct you t...

Re: Kickdown switch
Hi Mikel,
I have several if you are still in need. I can also rebuild/restore them to OEM new condition as well. NEVER throw one out as they ARE serviceable unless totally roached.

1967 Toro LOW MILES for Sale
All, My Dad is putting his 19K (original miles) 1967 up for sale. This is a heads up for TOA Members first before it goes to ebay. Re: Carb or Intake Manifold Replacement options
Adam, I realize not everyone is a QJ fan, and I'm not trying to persuade you into using my services, but on a '66 Toro, you are pretty much limited to a QJ due to the hood clearance and the low rise intake. However, if you don't want to use the OEM air cleaner and don't mind punching out your hood, ...

Re: Just how bad are factory Drum brakes on '66?
Although doing a disk brake conversion on your '66 would be the bees knees, if drum brakes are done correctly, they aren't really as bad as the urban legend would make you think. I do, however, suggest a dual master cylinder/booster conversion regardless. The trick to doing a really good drum brake ...

Re: Putting on the trim...
Actually, the one on the left (lower) because it is has a rubberized tip, looks to be like a wind lace retainer for the door window top rubber seal? The top right clip looks to be a molding/trim retainer due to the tines on the clip. I've seen both of these when parting out a Toro, but it's so rare ...
