Re: Visual Information Center

I sympathise with your problem. I found a shop that repairs CRTS (It is a Sony Trinitron). It took him a long time and he needed the electrical diagrams which are in the manual. There are a lot of connections to all the things it interfaces with. It cost about $200.

Re: Determining car sale value

It is all about the condition. These are expensive to restore, so anything that does not have to be done or that has been done counts. And, as a general rule, "pimping" by adding non-original details generally devalues the car - the ones that go for the most $$$ are the closest to original.

Hi Toronadotrofeo -

You are showing your TOA membership # as 24 but that number belonged to a deceased member. Please update your profile with the correct number. If you do not know it check the roster in the members section or send me a private message and I will look it up.

This VIN is not in the TOA database. That does not mean it is not still around, just was not registered by a joining member.

Re: Comfortron replacement

It is difficult to repair a Comfortron and parts are very rare. We had a local AC expert who put in a great effort to get ours going. I think this would cost less than replacing it but others would have a more informed opinion on that.

Re: 66 Toro arrives tomorrow

Another suggestion is to join the TOA. We have expert Tech advisors, articles on restoration in our bi-monthly magazine, members get a free 40 word ad in the magazine and web classifieds, and much more. And it is our membership that allows this website to exist...so if your mission matches ours - to...

Re: Another beautiful 1966 Toro, fully restored, on eBay

Very well said Doc! We go to shows and cruise nights as time allows and love to answer questions and hear stories about Toros people have had. We drive ours about 800 miles a year and if that is lessening its value - too bad. The fun more than makes up for it.
