1980 Riviera parts car, complete, in Minnesota

Sorry if this is not Toronado enough. 1980 Riviera, V8, dual exhaust, sunroof, some rust, has rodents living in it. Might be too good to crush, but too far gone to be a restoration. Save it from the crusher, I'm selling cheap, I have a title! It ran and drove a year ago, I don't know much else about...

Re: For Sale: 1970 Toronado GT in Minnesota $2500

Well, summer is almost over. I still have the Toronado, and still enjoy taking it for a drive every now and then, but don't get to spend as much time on it as I would like. I am offering it for sale, again. If it does not sell before I have to put it in storage, maybe I'll enjoy it one more year. It...

You may have to buy a straight piece, and bend it and flare it yourself. Not a hard job, with a little patience.

Product names

Twilight Fenrir's comments about silly names (Comfortron and Twilight Sentinal) in another thread sent my mind spinning about similar things I've often wondered about. Why do they pick names and advertise them. I've had several Buick's with Twilight Sentinel, GM must have used that name for all divi...

Re: For Sale: 1970 Toronado GT in Minnesota $2500

I would rather tell all the bad stuff that I know, and have someone come look at it and be pleasantly surprised, rather than the other way around. So, here are some of my observations: - Gas gauge doesn't work - When I replaced the pads and calipers, the front left side caliper was rusted tight. The...

Re: For Sale: 1970 Toronado GT in Minnesota $2500

Well, I figure I should try one more time to sell this before I have to store it for winter again. My opinion is that it is too rough to restore, and too nice to part out. Someone that wants a good, solid weekend driver can get a nice car for the money. I am asking $2500 or best offer, but any large...

Re: Are these the original spark plug wires??? O.o

I am not all that old, but I remember a lot of "service stations" that had a custom plug wire kit display, right next to thier wiper blade display, light bulb display, glass fuse display, etc. The plug wire kit was a bulk roll of wire, a couple bins of the rubber plug ends, and a bin of so...

Aftermarket rear air shocks

Anyone add aftermarket rear air shocks to to a Gen 1 Toro, to assist the tired leaf spring? Just wondering what works out and what doesn't.

If you hold the exterior pushbutton with your thumb while you close the door, it stays locked. You can actually lock your keys in, but you have to try a little harder.

Re: We need a specific forum for problem vendors

The one thing I would caution here is that their free shipping offer is for web only even though it does not state this so be aware that if you call in an order it will include shipping. I just checked the site, and the banner now says "Web orders only". They must have taken your advice a...
