Re: 66 Parts For Sale
Hello Tuco, My name is jody. Sorry to bother you: I saw a post you made a few years back. You had some cornering light assemblies for a '66, '67 Toronado available for sale. I was just wondering if they were still available. I'd be grateful if you'd let me know when you have a second. All my best, J...

Re: Comfortron replacement
Hello, When my system wouldn't send variable voltage (3 - 10 VDC) to the transducer, I eventually diagnosed that it had been a sensor issue. The lead from the last sensor in the floor duct (they're connected in series) had no continuity with the middle tab on the amplifier. So I just by-passed the u...

Re: Need Help wiring connections 1966 Toronado Heater system
Hello Jens, Apologies for the late reply - I hope you were able to figure this out. 1, 2, and 3 are part of a single connector & socket Connection 1 is the outgoing modulated (3 - 10 VDC) from the amplifier to the transducer Connection 2 is input from the 3 temperature sensors (they're connected...

Re: Power Windows - Rear
My thanks for everyone's kind replies: Apologies for the long radio-silence Texlbee, thanks for including shots of the relevant pages in the manual. I made progress as a result, and was able to repair the window mechanism by repositioning the mechanism a little akimbo before re-tightening the bolts....

Power Windows - Rear
Hello, It looks like I have to replace or repair a rear window regulator & motor on my 1967 Toronado: It will not open from the fully closed position I've had the back seats & elbow rest panels out a few times, and have gained access to the bottom of the regulators. Once loosened from their ...

Re: Comfortron
Hello Monogram, Well it sounds like the Comfortron controls are working, which is really great news. The fact that it doesn't go to full fan speed on De-Ice will probably rectify itself with use - mine did. I will defer to the advice of others about charging the AC. But if you see frost on a pipe, i...

Re: Comfortron
Hello Monogram, Nice car, by the way. You're probably right to make certain that the controls (vent & damper actuators, et.)work before you recharge your compressor. The Confortron controls can be checked regardless of the functioning of the compressor. The slider control settings are usually qu...

Re: Comfortron
Hello Todd, Thanks for your note. 1966 - sounds nice, what color? I'm glad the blower works on both Hi and Low. A good sign for sure. You might try defrost and De-ice too just to see if the dampers redirect the air to the windshield. By the way, De-Ice should blow at full heat regardless of the temp...

Re: Comfortron
Hello Todd, It's great news that it turns on by itself! Once on, can you adjust the temperature and see if the blower speed or temp changes? You seem to have indicated that you can't control it. Nevertheless, once it's on, does it JUST blow hot? (you may have to wait for the water to reach operating...

Re: Comfortron
Thanks for your comment, Otto.
I love the colour of your Toronado.
It must make quite a hit wherever you go.
Best, Jody
