Heater Hose
Hey all, I just wanted to share something I found. When I put my engine in, I didn't like how I had to run the upper heater hose connection from the heater pipe on the side of the engine. I had to make a loop behind the engine in order to not kink the hose because of the sharp angles. I found a Gate...

Re: 1966 Toronado fan speed only high
The blower motor resistor is installed into the top of the heater box under the hood, make sure everthing looks good on that. It will have a few sections of coiled wire, make sure none of the wires or solder joints are broken. The system is pretty foolproof, so as long as the blower speed switch is ...

Re: 1966 Toronado Issues
The system that changes where the air comes out is all vacuum operated. There are numerous vacuum lines that run from the control to four or five vacuum actuators. If any of these hoses become disconnected, torn, ripped, or sliced, the system will not work. Likewise, if a diaphragm is torn in one of...

Throttle dashpot
I am in need of a throttle dashpot for my '66. I know most people don't bother replacing them, but I'd like to put one on my car. Problem is, I am having a hard time coming up with a source. The one I had would make the throttle stick on a higher idle intermittently, so I threw it out and don't have...

Re: Switch pitch / kickdown switch
Update: it looks like this switch will work for 1967 Toronados, based on the updated throttle linkage for that second year of production.

Re: Switch pitch / kickdown switch
That for originality buffs I suppose. For half those $ you can get an electronic switch pitch controller, that will far out perform the crude original switch. Bruce Roe Yeah I've heard a lot about your electronic setups, and they look really great. I'm kind of an originality buff myself though haha...

Switch pitch / kickdown switch
Please read the description. The throw of the lever was incorrect for my '66, so I cannot guarantee what it will fit.

Floor Pans
I have a 1966 Toronado that is in need of floor pans. I am heavily considering buying sheet metal and making my own floor pan sections, but I would like to find stuff that is more "direct-fit" if possible. I see floor pan sections for a 1967 Cadillac Eldorado listed online, but I am unsure...
