So use the glue/liquid gasket, how hard is it to remove the cover to get that glue on? Do you have to drop part of the transmission or can you remove the cover from just getting underneath the car?

I know this is an old post but running into a similar issue. I just got my '67 Toro up and running after sitting for 25 years. I've been driving it for a couple hundred mile so far and now I'm getting a transmission leak. Looks like it's mostly dripping off the little air deflector that's under ther...

I have a full '66 steering column sitting in the garage, but it has the tilt and telescopic features. I will be using the steering wheel on it for my '67, but the rest of it I'd probably let go. Let me know if you're interested.
