Re: 76 Toronado Low Coolant Light
Well I finally found the damn wire, after a few months of not having the light come on. For the last week it came on and stayed on. I went through tracing wires and found a wire that was attempted to be spliced into a ground with one of those cheap no cut splicers ya get at the auto parts store. Sin...

Re: 76 Toronado Low Coolant Light
There where alot of 50s Chevy and Ford 4 door cars. Some 60s mopar 4 door cars like a VIP, 63' olds 98. I didnt really get to look at most of the stuff. I also know there was a 55 Buick super. Re: 76 Toronado Low Coolant Light
I'd be ok with just covering up the light but it's the damn buzzer that goes along with it that's annoying. Cant complain though. I dug this car out of my friends grandfather's barn after he passed away. His grandfather had around 20+ odd ball cars. This one was left because no one wanted to dig it ...

Re: 76 Toronado Low Coolant Light
I think I may have found what was causing the low coolant light to come on intermittently. It's a connection that was sitting on top of a bracket loose and seem to be causing the light to come on or off depending on how it was sitting. I'll take a picture and post it later. There are a couple wires ...

Re: 76 Toronado Low Coolant Light
I'll have to order a service manual. Thanks for the link. I can see a spot on the radiator that looks like it's been plugged. I'll have to figure out which wire coming off the main harness is for that sensor so I can figure out where they have it going to and why it's so intermittent. I just thought...

Re: 76 Toronado Low Coolant Light
No it definitely say "Low Coolant Level". I found and checked the coolant temp sensor and the oil sensor to make sure they didnt work together with the low coolant light. Just kinda stumped me that I cannot find the sensor.

76 Toronado Low Coolant Light
Hi guys, new to this forum. Just bought a 1976 Toronado and I have a low coolant light and buzzer coming on and off from time to time. The coolant levels all seem fine. I want to check the sensor but I cant seem to find it on the radiator or tank. Can someone let me know where this sensor is or if t...
