Bruce,
Appreciate your comments. Not sure they apply to my situation. Haven't seen it since wrecked. Person driving stole the car. Left the car. Probably not injured. More to the story. No judgement yet as to the loss. The insured value covers my investment.

Gone With The Wind
My two month 1966 Toronado was stolen and wrecked yesterday. Perp fled. Car may be available for parts. Insurance covers at least part of my loss. Sad, very sad.

Re: Eldorado brake calipers
Problem solved. Left side hydraulic hose was rust clogged so fluid could not return and release left side brake pressure. Ordered hose from Rock Auto: $19.58.

Re: Eldorado brake calipers
This discussion was just what I hoped to find at the TOR Forum. I bought a fine '66 Toro. My repairer installed two new CV axles to fix a dragging left side brake shoe which is still dragging. Would have saved big bucks had I gotten Forum advice before letting the local guy take over. OTOH the dragg...

Re: 1966 Replacement Tires
I am having a little trouble finding my way around this Forum. Part of the problem is that I am not mechanically inclined. Is steering dampener the name of a part? Where can I get it? My car will look like this when I polish it. Well, close...

Re: My dream car, 1966 oldsmobile toronado.
My Houston repairer got them through local parts supply who got them elsewhere. Took about a week in route. (That cost $90.) Each one cost me $190 and it took four hours (not me) to install both. Other work was done to adjust the front (drum) brakes. One side (left) still runs hotter. Maybe that is ...

Re: 1966 Replacement Tires
My car has Sears P225/75R-15 with a white wall. I've seen a red stripe that looks interesting. (Gold car) Now that my axles have been replaced the steering wheel has a little wiggle. Could it be tires, alignment or normal wear.
