Given the older cars (I'm on the hunt for a 1970) VIN# isn't in the format needed for a CARFAX report, has anyone found a reliable way to determine car history? Also, has anyone tried the GM Heritage center for documentation, window stickers etc.?

Had a chance to buy it 15+ years ago from a guy in Chicago who got it from the Pioneer Museum in ND. It is a 1970 W34 in Regency Rose with white vinyl top, white interior, bucket seat and console shifter.
