Re: Remove Dash Cluster

That sounds like a good plan. Glad to know you're making progress. The stencil is a perfect idea. I got my car about a year ago from a long term storage. I replaced all the fluids, tires, blasted and painted the wheels, went through the brakes (they were pretty new) overhauled the headlight actuator...

Re: Remove Dash Cluster

I did a search for 'transfer lettering' and found these: http://www.dickblick.com/products/chartpak-vinyl-letters/?clickTracking=true&wmcp=pla&wmcid=items&wmckw=27210-2025&gclid=CPj50J2Fm9ECFRlWDQodo0kLQQ Not sure they are small enough. If not, you'll need to look for smaller, but I ...

Re: Remove Dash Cluster

Re: Remove Dash Cluster

I restored the cluster on my '66 this past spring. Removal is pretty straightforward. Lower the steering column- two nuts on studs. Be careful not to overtighten on the reassembly- one of mine snapped on me and I had to drill it out and replace. I think they might be shear bolts, because it snapped ...

66 CV Boots

My apology if this has been covered elsewhere. Are 66 and 67 outer CV boots the same? I found a listing on Rock Auto for 67: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=387660&cc=1346217&jsn=__GIX__2__ I also found these on Fusick for a 66: http://www.fusickautomotiveproducts.com/prodinfo.as...

Re: Decode 1966 Data plate?

I thoroughly flushed the transmission....ran about 30 quarts through it, after first dropping the pan and replacing the filter. The radiator had been apart recently (seller's comments and physical evidence) and I pressure tested it and the cooler thoroughly before reconnecting it to the system. Foun...
