Re: California Plates
Most interesting. I'll have to pursue this option. I have the original sales receipt for the car and a few of the plate registrations between 1976 and 1991.
It's worth a try.
Thanks,
Todd

Re: Olds "Holiday" (Toronado) write-up
Fun read, thanks. I found the second to last paragraph most telling with respect to applying FWD to the Thunderbird or Chrysler moving forward with the turbine car. Neither of these came about. Although, I've seen Jay Leno's Chrysler Turbine up close, which he still drives around town on occasion :s...

Re: wheels
Good points about the engineering of the wheels. Sometimes when you want to put out something that supposed to be revolutionary, some details are intentionally/unintentionally left off. Can't really get into the heads of the automotive engineers of the time, but here are some considerations: -No Ame...

Welcome to TOA!
I like the mid 80s Trofeo. It reminds me of the Buick Somerset I had back in the day. A very comfortable little coupe.

Re: 66 Toronado
Hi Swera. Welcome. Did you intend to post as a reply or start a new post? As far as price goes it's whatever someone is willing to pay. Please provide as much info as you can. Year, condition, work done, mileage, approx location, etc. Pictures would be the best way to make your case. Good luck and w...

Re: WTB 66, 67 or 70 GT 2+ condition Toronado
He seems to have been combing the Olds/Buick forums during that same time. He made similar requests on the Buick Riviera GS and Olds Cutlass Supreme SX WTB. Must really be interested in the more rare 455s. Although, he went into a bit more detail on this forum than on those others. We must be more s...

17? Were you going downhill at the time? Or are you using imperial gallons?

Re: California Plates
His explanation is typical of what I've found elsewhere. I got a look at the form from the DMV. I guess I should have started there. It's pretty clear on what years are applicable. I guess I'll restore the plates I have and use them for shows...assuming I get that far.
Thanks for the info.
