Re: For those who are restoring their car...

I sold it.
It is in a museum in Florida now.
That car was too nice to drive, and I am happy it ended up where it is.
I may look for another one I can feel good about driving.

According to EBay the car sold. I don't know if it really went for $35000.

Re: Another beautiful 1966 Toro, fully restored, on eBay

Value wise, I'm always looking for cars to compare my car to. When I saw this Ebay one that was runner up at a concours event, I was very interested. I was a little concerned about the pictures of a magazine that were shown. Then I found out that they haven't had that event since 2010, so I wonder w...

Re: Another beautiful 1966 Toro, fully restored, on eBay

Hagerty evaluation shows a #1 show car at $40,000. a #2 car at around #30,000. Barrett Jackson sold a restored 66 for $32,450. recently. That is why I haven't followed some peoples advice to drive my car after restoration. I don't want to be the one to lessen the value by $10,000. Mine looks cleaner...

Seat Belts

I often wondered why my plum upholstered car has black seat belts while all the pictures I've seen have upholstery colored belts. After a big search I found a Camaro website that explained the difference between standard and deluxe seat belts. Basically the standard belts had limited colors, plastic...

I used one of these.

Re: 1966 Toro headlights trouble

The switch vacuum only raises the lights (when on) and unlocks the lights (when off). The check valve in the tee closes with the vacuum to open the lights, and the check valve opens when the vacuum disappears to allow it to bleed the canisters and close. Adding a regular tee inline with the canister...

Re: 1966 Toro headlights trouble

The vacuum needs a way out of the canisters once the switch is off. That is the reason for the check valve. It was located in the drivers front corner where the lines teed to both lights.
I hope this makes sense?

Re: 1966 Toro headlights trouble

Here are some pictures of my old T that was missing the valve part. I could not find one, so I replaced it with a four way T and a one way valve. The valve I have is too small so the headlights drop slowly. http://s25.postimg.org/8vxnmipkf/DSC00926.jpg http://s25.postimg.org/59n8w4ttb/DSC00927.jpg h...
