Re: 1966 toro Lower door moulding clip

You might find one from a junkyard.

Or, try Mr. G's Fasteners. If you have an old one you can match it up from his inventory or scan it and send him a picture.

Re: Hello from Germany!

40,963 built in '66.

There might be half of them left but that's just a guess.

There's no I way I know of to find out how many are registered in the USA. Each state registers vehicles and number plates are not assigned to cars for life. In most states, if not all, that data isn't publicly available.

Re: Brand new Olds Toronado owner

I'm a firm believer in the concept of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." If you think the engine is sufficiently worn that the head gaskets should be changed, then go ahead and do it. If the engine runs fine, leave it alone. TYiming chain set is another matter. GM used nylon coated sprocke...

Re: SoCal Beauty

I think it probably is a DeLuxe since it has air conditioning and power windows, both of which came standard on the DeLuxe. It also has the DeLuxe interior. My car is a DeLuxe but the original buyer deleted both the a/c and the power windows. They'd pretty much let you do whatever you wanted back th...

Re: SoCal Beauty

Are you thinking about buying this car? It looks pretty nice but $25K is extremely high in my opinion, especially for an unrestored car. I'm a little skeptical of the "all original" claim too, since there are some things about the car which are not stock. The floor mat looks nice but its m...

Wow. You're doing a lot more than I ever did to mine. Mine spent most of its life in the hands of several collectors so it never got worn out or abused. Aside form tunes ups, shocks, water pump, etc. I've never had to get that far into it.

Re: Hello- It's time to work on the Motorhome

Yes, I've seen those. Interestingly they had the idea before GM. GM started building their own version and Revcon went out of business shortly afterward.

You can get a lot of good advice and help from Jim at Applied GMC www.appliedgmc.com
