Anything can be fixed. The real problem is that the actual cause of the misalignment/pull to the right wasn't identified in the first place so new parts were thrown at it hoping the problem would go away. Just like lumber. Half inch plywood is now 7/16". 3/4"ply is 23/32".

That's nice. What brand timing set did you use?

Were you able to tell if that was the original timing set or had it been replaced before? If it was original, how was the nylon coating on the teeth? Had it begun flaking off?

There might be half of them left but that's just a guess.

There's no I way I know of to find out how many are registered in the USA. Each state registers vehicles and number plates are not assigned to cars for life. In most states, if not all, that data isn't publicly available.
