Do you happen to have any of the cable that ran the power seats, there should have been 3-6 large cables that resemble speedometer cables.

I have a 1966 Toronado, and one of it's options is the 6-way power seat. All of the motors work 100%, however the black cable which allows my seat to move forward and back apparently broke sometime in the past.
