Re: Gen 1 fuel line replacement / length?

Re: How Do You Replace Headlights on 1966 Toro

You can just lift them up by hand. Reach in, and press down on the shaft of the actuators, and when they start to lift, just lift by hand the rest of the way. Or put a small screwdriver in the gaps and just lift it up. They are made to be activated if the actuators dont work.

Re: 425 harmonic balancer

No, was one similar to the one on the bottom pic. They don’t fit, at least not in the Toronado.

I bought an aftermarket one. Does not fit. Got a rebuilt one on ebay for around $150. Works perfectly.

You can get them everywhere. There are two sizes. 3/8, and a smaller one.

Re: Sending Unit

Got it on ebay. Stainless steel, works great. For the filter I took long nose pliers, ripped out the filter pieces, and put a new sock on the inlet tube. You probably will have to leave part of the old sock there.

Re: 1966 fuel tank

Mine came out pretty easily. Just the two nuts. For the one you will have to nudge the muffler a bit. Order a 3/8 fuel sock before you drop the tank. The book says the fuel sock is not replaceable, but I was able to use pliers to rip the old one apart. There is enough space on the line to put a new ...
